About DOB Golf

We believe the golf swing is an equation, not a mystery. Data of Body (DOB) training replaces traditional "feel" with measured kinematics and forces.

Our Philosophy

For the last century, golf instruction relied heavily on a coach's eye and a player's subjective feeling. The problem? Feel isn't real. What a golfer thinks they are doing in a swing lasting 0.8 seconds is rarely what is actually happening.

With the advent of 3D motion capture (like GEARS and AMM) and dual force plates (like SwingCatalyst), we finally have the truth. We can measure exactly how much torque a player applies to the ground, the precise degree of wrist flexion at impact, and the exact speed of the pelvis.

The Kinematic Sequence

We focus heavily on the Kinematic Sequence. It's the order of operations for speed. The pelvis accelerates and brakes, transferring energy to the torso, which accelerates and brakes, transferring energy to the arms, and finally the club. If this sequence is out of order, you lose speed and introduce inconsistency.

Why We Built This

DOB Golf exists to make this biomechanical data accessible. You shouldn't need a PhD in physics to understand why you slice the ball. By breaking down the data points and providing free tools, we aim to bridge the gap between tour-level science and the amateur golfer.
